Volkswagen NILS is an electric single-seat roadster concept that will be shown off at 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show.
Inspired by F1 race cars, NILS has an aluminum frame and gullwing doors, 3.04 m in length, 33 hp electric motor (25kW), max speed of 80 mph but an electric range of 40 miles. Recharge in 2 hours on 230 Volts.
VW said the Nils could be going into production.
