The new Intelligent software assistant from Apple, Siri, can be used to start a car.

Like Microsoft Kinect, it seems that Siri is very popular with geeks for them to make DIY hacks. We see a new Siri Hack almost every week/day.

Today Brandon Fiquett has hacked the iPhone 4S voice assistant of his car to start it without using keys. A little phrase, 2-3 seconds of waiting and the engine of the acura is rmaking some noise.

“The command is sent from Siri to a Viper server, then relayed via cellular connection to the car. The car then broadcasts an update via RF to the key chain remote.”

This can be useful as a remote starter when it’s very cold outside in the winter ^^.
