HD super AMOLED 4.8 inch with 1280 x 720 pixels (for info the Galaxy Nexus has a 4.65 inch screen, the Galaxy Note 5.3 inches and the Galaxy S2 had a 4.3 screen), 1.4 Ghz quadcore Exynos processor, 1 GB of RAM, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS with TouchWiz, 16 GB internal memory expandable to 64 GB with micro SD, weight: 133 g, thickness of 8.6 mm, 4G, NFC, 8-Megapixel with LED flash Digital Camera with 1080p video at 60 fps (rear), 1.9 Megapixel 720p camera (front), WiFi, accelerometer and a 2100 mAh battery.
New Features :
The S3 has a sensor that detects your face, so it allows the phone to check that you are currently watching it (for example you’re reading) and so it won’t put itself in standby/sleep mode.
Speech recognition will allow to talk to the smartphone in natural language and will allow to start applications or give navigation commands.
The NFC will allow two S3 phones to communicate with each other (S-Beam) in order to share files (pictures for example).
Versions, colors, price and release date:
Available in two colors, white and dark blue, it will be available in Europe from May 29th and in the rest of the world (USA/Canada) from June.
With this new smartphone, Samsung will certainly strengthen its No. 1 position as the world’s biggest seller for mobile phones. Watch out Apple with your iPhone, Samsung S3 sales will be huge…
