Written on 07 March 2012 by Tim Cook unveiled the new Apple iPad 3 HD in San Francisco this afternoon : Retina Display 2048 x 1536 pixels, LTE/4G and starting price of 449 $ for Wi-Fi 16 GB version.
This new iPad 3 HD has a 9.7 inch high definition (HD) screen with Retina Display 2,048 x 1,536 pixels (with 264 PPI) 3.1 million pixels, a quadcore processorA5X, 4G/LTE connection, a 5 Megapixels rear camera with iSight autofocus and face detection, Facetime, voice recognition (dictation), a 1080p HD Video recorder with image stabilization and noise reduction. The battery life does not change: 10 hours, but 9 hours for 4G versions.
Dimensions and Weight :
This new iPad is 0.94 cm thick (slightly more than the iPad2) and weighs 636 g.
Price and availability :
iPad HD will be available March 16 (*) at a price of 499 dollars for 16 GB Wi-Fi version, 599 dollars for 32 GB and $699 for 64 GB. Same versions but with 4G (LTE) will be available at 629 dollars, $729 and $829.
(*) available March 16, 2012 in these countries : United States, Canada, France, Germany, UK, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia.
Carriers : Rogers, Telus and Bell for Canada ; AT&T and Verizon in the United States.
