Microsoft just introduced SmartGlass at the opening conference at E3 2012 in Los Angeles.
Smart Glass is the future of Xbox 360: it’s an application that will work with tablets running under Windows 8 as well as mobile phones running with Windows Phone, Android or iOS.
This app will interact with Xbox and Television. Basically the Xbox is the brain between tablet/mobile phone and TV.
For example, you will be able to use your phone as a remote control to play music, start a movie on the tablet and continue it on TV, start a video game or surf the web (Internet Explorer will be installed on the Xbox 360; in this case the phone will act as the mouse/keyboard).
On Xbox Live, SmartGlass will be used for managing messages and invitations from friends.
