Written on 24 April 2012 by Vincent Abry

Matt Cutts explains in a 8-minute video How Google works.

Matt Cutts Pagerank

Head of the anti-spam team at Google does not reveals the secrets to be in 1st position on the search engine result pages, but rather a historical overview of how the search engine works.

Matt explains Google’s ranking and website evaluation process works, backlinks, the importance of PageRank to be visited often (and yes PR is still relevant!), crawling timelines, priorities, indexing and filtering processes.

SEO Pros won’t learn anything here, but the video is interesting for beginners.
