Written on 25 April 2012 by While Google just launched Drive, its free sync storage service in the cloud (with 5GB of free space), they also just increased storage to 10 GB for Free (instead of 7 GB).
This update will be effective for all accounts in the next coming hours.
Gmail launched in 2004 and at this Google’s webmail was offering 1GB of free space. Today we have 10 GB of space for all users (almost 350 million) and it’s still free!
Google Mail continues to evolve on a regular basis (a few months ago, GMail had a complete redesign), and the increase of disk space comes to celebrate the launch of Google Drive.
