Out Lady Gaga (16.4 million followers) Queen of Twitter and Justin Bieber (coming fast behind with 15 million) … because on Google+ the star is : Britney Spears.
Well it’s clear that in comparison to Twitter this G+ performance is just the beginning… It’s impossible to say if Miss Britney will stay at first place very long on Google’s social network but for now she is giving herself a big marketing Exposure for … Free. 782,000 followers is far from bad for a start (G + only exist since this summer).
Larry Page and Mark Zuckerberg are only a few thousand followers behind Brit but it will be difficult for them to come back. Britney’s Femme Fatale Tour began in June 2011 (same timing than for G+) and is everywhere now on Google Plus with world pics and many shares and +1s.
As reported by Mashable, the giant logo on the BritneySpears.com Homepage also certainly helped a lot the singer to build her community more quickly on G+ :
