Apple iPhone 4 to be launched on June 24
Apple unveiled its iPhone 4, scheduled for its release on the 24th June at a price of $199 for the 16 GB version (the price at AT&T being $299 for the 32 GB).
There are only 5 countries which are concerned for its first launch: USA, France, Germany, United Kingdom and Japan (there are 18 countries which will follow in July).
Pictures of the iPhone 4 were leaked on the web via Gizmodo and as a matter of fact the latter has been banned from the Apple conference on Monday.
With a thickness of 9.3 mm, the iPhone 4 is the thinnest smart phone in the world.
It has a steel belt around, a video camera for videoconferencing on the front and a 5 megapixels camera at the back.
The screen’s size sticks to the traditional 3.5 inch, but it comes with a resolution of 960×640 and a contrast four times better.
It makes use of an A4 processor similar to the iPad and will run on iOS 4 (iPhone OS 4).
It has more features such as an accelerometer, a gyroscope, GPS, compass, WIFI.
