Apple’s iOS6 Expected This Fall
Apple has introduced the latest version of their operating system, the iOS6. The iOS6, which will be available starting this fall, is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Some of the most attractive features include a mobile mapping service for the iPad and iPhone, a more intuitive voice-interaction feature through Siri, and videophone features.
The new operating system was announced during the Apple WWDC keynote, finally putting to rest some long-standing rumors and a few expectations about the latest iOS upgrade. Here are a few of the features offered by the shiny, new Apple iOS6:
Intuitive Abilities for Siri
Now Siri is designed to be available in more countries and available on the iPad as well. Whether you need the latest game scores or plan to make a reservation at some fancy new restaurant, Siri can accomplish things for you, no matter which country you are in. Siri can also launch apps, allow for voice Tweeting, and show you the latest, hottest movie trailers.
Integrated, Detailed Maps
In the iOS6, conventional maps are given a new facelift, as these incredibly detailed maps accommodate complicated searches through their impressive zooming-in abilities and smooth panning. During its launch, iOS6 maps will have already listed more than 100 million local businesses. The maps are also integrated with Siri, so finding any location or destination is both assured and fun.
Other features expected from the iOS6 include Facebook integration, which means anything you’re presently doing, can be shared with Facebook pronto, or you may ask Siri nicely to do the posting for you. There is also a Shared Photo Stream feature which allows you to share the photos you want with the people you want. And with the new FaceTime feature, you can now make FaceTime calls through your iPad – using your phone number – effortlessly.
The new Apple iOS6 will be launched this coming fall and will be will be supported on the iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad 3 (New iPad), and on 4th generation iPod touch.
