The device would be priced at 199 dollars and could be launched as soon as in April. This will compete directly with the new Amazon Kindle Fire, a product that starts selling like crazy.
“As Google reportedly may launch an own-brand tablet PC to compete against Apple’s iPad, sources from Google’s upstream supply chain believe that Google, instead of Apple, may actually be targeting Amazon’s 7-inch Kindle Fire as its major competitor. “
At 199 dollars the device, this google-tablet could be perfect as a second tablet at home (if you have already an iPad or the Samsung Galaxy Tab) or for your wife/children. If you just check your emails and read news on the Internet, then a $199 tablet is just perfect if you plan to buy only one device.
